Just a typical day exploring for some STREET FOOD in SAIGON!!
Always with my buddy Tim going out to find the best eats around Saigon. We started today off up in the north as we went for some sticky rice and chicken. But this isn’t your normal xoi ga, this place is frying up huge chunks up chicken and coating it in a drippings, nouc mam, and sugar syrup! However, even with the delicious chicken that doesn’t mean the rice was lacking. The perfect texture, not too sweet, and loaded with an assortment of goodies!
Next up Tim and I went for a sweet treat, cacao coconut. A coconut and cream shake loaded with a topping of cacao. This cheap and sweet treat is perfect for any afternoon when needing to beat the heat in Saigon. Lots of texture from the shredded coconut and overall everything you want in a afternoon in Saigon.
Lastly, we went for a huge meal, deep in Chinatown. Almost all the way to district 6, we found a place where the owner was even surprised we showed up. This place has been open for over 60 years, family run, and to this day still making absolutely delicious foods.
