The FLIR E60 thermal imager was recently brought back on the market by FLIR at an unprecedented low price! This IR camera goes directly up against current models on the market in terms of specs and features but, being an older model, costs much less. It features 320x240 infrared resolution, 1202F max temperature, interchangeable lenses, and unique FLIR features like MSX. Check out the video for the full overview and demo of this infrared camera with Devin, a Level 2 ITC Certified Thermographer on-staff with TEquipment.

SB Phang : Hi, any model can be use for human scanning?
TechRentals : Hi +Jacob Ebsen,
For accurate temperature measurement there is a specific calculation which takes into account distance, the object’s size and the camera’s IFOV spec. As for Police helicopters, they don’t use the E60 or any similar type camera. They use highly specialised cameras on pivoting mounts specifically designed for aircraft. We're not sure of the actual cost of the Police cameras, however we believe they would be around the $50,000 to $100,000 region. You can find more detail about the Flir E60 on our website, which has a product datasheet available to download (http://www.techrentals.com.au/Products_Detail.asp?productcode=FLI%2CE60-II). We hope this helps.
Shano Studio : Very helpful! Thank you! If only FLIR gave these tutorials!
Boxer Maze : How far away will this work a mile or 10 feet for $8000 i would assume this would be the same as the police use on there helicopters please show us the specifics
Gediminas : FPS of bolometer? Can I connect to USB and record video video?

The Flir E60 is the final entry in Flir's excellent "performance" line of cameras. It features exciting new Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functions that allow it to connect wirelessly with the FLIR Tools Mobile App and also to Extech meters to imbed electrical and moisture data. It features the highest thermal detector resolution in its class at 320 x 240 pixels and a thermal sensitivity of 0.05°C at 30°C (50mK). The Flir E60 also boasts a touch screen interface as well as a built-in visible light camera for fusion and picture-in-picture modes to blend thermograms and digital photos. The high temperature range of -4°F to 1202°F, (-20°C to 650°C) makes this camera perfect for HVAC, Electrical, and Industrial technicians.
