Sidi Dragon 5 SRS MTB Shoe - Initial Review

In this video I show the Sidi MTB Dragon 5 SRS shoe up-close and talk about the features.
pedalsand6strings : Nice review Clint. I just bought these as well and have a few hundred miles on them between the trainer, mtb, and gravel. I bought them in the mega width since my feet are a little wider (E) and I have a 20 year old pair of Sidi Mega road shoes as well.

I leave the top ratchet lever unlocked so I can tighten it as the fit changes while I ride, probably since the shoes are still pretty new and breaking in still. You can also let out the "Boa" by only pressing on one side of the release buttons if you went too tight in the beginning. They release wire alternately; play around with it for 5 seconds and it makes more sense. Enjoy!
Matt Kavanaugh : Sidi shoes are great, worth the extra $$ if they fit and feel good. They have extra wide sizes too. I have also used other shoes (Giro, Shimano, and others) and have never had a BOA failure on the road or dirt. But I did have a Shimano rachet strap break. It was easy and inexpensive to fix. I love Sidi but BOA too.

The Boa dials you need for spares are "Sidi Tecno 3 Push-Button Closure System - short".
About $30 for a pair of dials. They are much more reliable than Boa dials.
mokotramp : Sidi make the best cycling shoes on the planet! My last Dominator's lasted 19 years. Currently riding Sidi Schott for road/gravel. The adjustable ankle is definitely worth having! Thinking of purchasing either Drako 2 or Tiger 2...
