XL Biking International : Hello there! Thanks for this video! Great resource! I followed the steps and realised I'll be better off on the "French Fit" from competitive cyclist. The exact measurements really helped me, I was often in between frame sizes, but since I'm a beginner I couldn't make up my mind!
Rixter : You're so correct about using the stack and reach measurements and not just relying on the manufacturer's size label. When I got back into road biking after 20 years off a road bike I did my best guess and bought a 56cm Cervelo. After nearly 4 seasons, and thousands of kilometers of riding it took a bike fit to truly setup my bike so that I had no back/shoulder pain. When I bought my next bike, had I simply referred to the manufacturer's label of s,m,l,xl I would have bought the wrong size. It wasn't until I compared the stack and reach measurements against my Cervelo that I knew I had the correct frame size for the new bike.

Philipp Unterreiner : Thank you for all the videos they're great – I have a question: How can I rely on the stack + reach values from Ridley if they just use body height to calculate it. Doesn't it depend also much on e.g. arm and trunk length? Thank you!
Mark P : Thanks for the video and all the others you have done. I put my measurements into Ridley just now and did it with the Helix and Noah Fast. Both bikes suggested size XS. However the Reach and Stack for the 2 bikes are different:
Helix - Stack 527 Reach 374 Size XS
Noah Fast - Stack 516 Reach 378 Size XS
My Tarmac - Stack 527 Reach 380 Size 52
So I have 2 questions:
(1) What Stack and Reach measurement should I use, is it bike style specific?
(2) Would you say my Tarmac is the right size?
