*영등포기계상가는 서울 영등포구 양평동에 위치하고 있다.
1991년 개설된 상가건물형 시장으로 당시 기계공구 및 산업용품 유통상가단지의 메카로 자리매김했다.
320여 개의 점포들로 구성된 중형시장인 이곳은 오전 8시에 개점하여 오후 10시에 폐점하는데 정확한 정기휴일에 대해서는 알기 어렵다.
많은 노선의 버스들이 시장 근처까지 운행되어 대중교통을 이용한 방문도 편리하다.

It was established in 1991 as a commercial building-type market
and was then established as a mecca for machine tools and industrial goods distribution shopping complexes.
The mid-sized market, consisting of some 320 stores, opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m., but it is hard to know the exact regular holidays.
Buses on many routes run close to the market, making it convenient to use public transportation.

Richard Arthur - NYC Stories : What a lovely entrance to the center. I love areas like this. My father was a mechanic so growing up I saw places like this all the time. Bit and pieces everywhere, oil and grease and tools all over the place :) This takes me back many years, back to when I grew up in England.
Wanderers Archive : While the surrounding areas are so much developed, the market seems still kept rather old look, beautiful. I like the place.

송신협 : 오늘 새벽에 또 백사마을 다녀왔습니다^^ 못가본 골목 하나하나 찾아보고 있어요
시장을 보아하니 갑작스레 저희 어머님이 20년가량 신당동 중앙시장에서 식당을 하셨던 기억이 나네요
중앙시장 중앙통로 양옆으로 골목들 구경하는것도 참 재미있었어요 사람들도 바글바글 하고 먹거리 구경 오래된 골목 구경하는 재미도 있었죠
주변 그릇도매상가 뒷골목도 이것저것 볼게 많았던것 같아요 나중에 한번 부탁드려볼게요^^
최노라-Real Korea : 에어콘 실외기 샤시 살려고 엄청 돌아다녔던 곳인데 청계천상가 만큼 가게들이 많더라고요

상상나무 : 시장 재개발합니다. 뉴타운으로 내년 철거하고 아파트 들어설 예정이에요. 공구상가는 뉴타운 해제되어서 부분 부분 오피스텔 들어서구 있구요.
